Happy 2014, friends! The past year was a blast, and your support has meant more to me than I can say. I am so incredibly appreciative of every like, comment, conversation, and sale.
I’ve decided to embark on a new project, as a motivator for myself and a thank you to all of you. As you may or may not know, the works I’ve created over the past year have incorporated flowers that I chose particularly for their Victorian symbolism, as per The Language of Flowers by Kate Greenaway. I’m sure you do know about birthstones, but did you know that every month of the year also has its own flower? Thusly my project is this: creating a free printable calendar page every month representing that month’s flower and gemstone– complete with skull, of course.
January brings us the carnation (I’ve chosen to use the striped ones, which actually do not have the most pleasant of meanings: refusal) and the garnet. Tune in next month for February!
